Professional Car Racer Cassil Partners With Voyager to Receive Crypto Payments
Landon Cassill, an American professional stock car racing driver, has partnered with Voyager Digital Ltd., a crypto asset platform. Cassil has supported the cryptocurrency system; he has traded, bought, held, and even gone to mining it.
The partnership will allow him to receive payment in crypto for the rest of the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. In addition, the No. 4 Chevy will feature a Voyager paint scheme in Saturday’s Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway.
Building a Network in the Crypto Space
Cassill stated that a couple of years ago, he had the notion of bringing crypto into his portfolio because he wanted to build a network in the crypto space.
The racing driver met up with the Voyager CEO, Steve Ehrlich, a couple of years ago when he attended a crypto conference, and that’s when they became friends: a friendship that has evolved into a partnership.
Despite previous tumbles in the crypto space due to the lack of centralized banks, the crypto space has started to get aligned. Voyager is one of these newer platforms, a brokerage firm that enables its clients to build a portfolio with a wide range of cryptocurrencies. It gives these new opportunities to invest in an “alien” opportunity that is still vague to most people globally.
The company subsidiaries operate a crypto asset platform that offers a turnkey solution to trade crypto assets to retail and institutional clients. With its smart order router and custody solution, the Voyager platform provides its customers a competitive price execution with a broad range of popular crypto assets.
Cassill added that you earn interest in your holdings with the platform, which fascinates him as you can earn up to 10% interest.
Expanding Crypto Visibility
In the partnership with Landon Cassill, CEO Ehrlich hopes that the crypto-ecosystem will receive additional visibility.
He said that all this goes to education and what they’re trying to educate people about why they care about cryptocurrency and why digital dollars are the next big thing. In responding to customers who want to learn more, he stated that he uses the reference that most people use debit cards instead of actual dollars. Then he explains that since it is electronic, cryptocurrency works in the same way, and this right here is the next phase of electronic currency.
Landon Cassill follows the developing list of famous people and athletes entering the digital currency. Last year Spencer Dinwiddie, a star in the NBA, signed his deal while Russell Okung, NFL offensive tackle, gets paid in bitcoin. In addition, NASCAR driver Darrell “Bubba” Wallace stated that his Cash App-sponsored Chevy No. 43 will carry a Bitcoin logo.
In conclusion, Ehrlich pointed out that the objective is to go to the “moon” as to what they can do to educate and grow both brands.
