The Culture Cards Review – Fantasy Hip Hop Game with NFTs

The Culture Cards is an up-and-coming fantasy hip hop game that uses NFT tradable cards depicting artists of the genre.

The market for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is rapidly advancing and capturing every art discipline in its way. And, music is one of its best bets for mainstream adoption and success. For instance, Wu-Tang Clan sold a one-copy album as an NFT for $4 million this year.

Meanwhile, a similarly successful and emerging movement is GameFi. This sector focuses on blockchain-based video gains and uses play-to-earn mechanisms to incentivize players. Some GameFi sensations generate up to $16 million per day from hordes of gamers worldwide.

At the moment, these two developing sectors benefit from increasingly ecstatic hype and community support. So, it’s no wonder that some projects would choose to combine their advantages into potentially more successful initiatives.

That’s where The Culture Cards comes with a collection of officially licensed NFT cards powering a fantasy hip hop game. Simply put, the premise only is enough to pique our curiosity. So, in this short The Culture Cards review, we aim to discover more about the project.

What Are The Culture Cards?

The Culture Cards™ (TCC) is a rising NFT project focusing on fantasy officially licensed hip hop cards for music fans and collectors. The developers plan to release the first limited collection in November 2021. And, the official launch will mark the first release of a mainstream fantasy hip hop game in the world.

At the moment, we don’t have extensive details about the project but a very detailed roadmap will be revealed soon on their website. However, we know that it will promote high-quality collectible trading cards representing hip-hop artists. Furthermore, these cards will have a digital representation only in the form of non-fungible tokens.

Additionally, the Culture Cards will feature a very innovative fan-driven scoring system. This rating will contribute to the final average score of the cards.

The Culture Cards NFTs should power a fantasy hip hop game, thus confirming the project’s immersion in GameFi. This emerging sector for blockchain-based games is advancing remarkably fast. And TCC wants to be popular when the industry reaches mainstream adoption.

The Culture Cards’ First NFT Release

The first NFT release from The Culture Cards will pay homage to the late Christopher Lee Rios, a.k.a. Big Pun.

The unique collection will feature 4 NFT officially licensed and tradable cards. Each of them will depict Big Pun’s face on the front. Meanwhile, on the back, the cards will feature different value points representing the artist’s skills. These points sum up the card’s value and potential within the game. Lastly, the four cards are available in as many colors, including silver, gold, black, and diamond.

Big Pun was short for Punisher, and Rios had picked it to define his punitive and compelling music. The artist was famous for having exceptional breath control, heavy use of alliteration, and internal and multi-syllabic rhyming schemes. Many consider him as one of the best MCs of all time. Unfortunately, Big Pun passed away in 2000.

A peek preview of the Big Pun NFT cards is available on The Culture Cards’ Instagram profile.

Imminent Launch

The Culture Cards will officially drop on November 10, 2021. As it stands, it should be a significant event for the Hip Hop community. Furthermore, the collection should ripple throughout the industry, confirming the potential of monetizing artists through NFTs.

Alternatively, NFT collectors everywhere will most likely rush to get their first Culture Cards. As of 2021, the market for non-fungible tokens has exploded and reached all art disciplines. At the moment, we are witnessing a rejuvenating interest in old-school hip hop through NFTs. And, The Culture Cards is among those leading the pack.

Final Thoughts

The Culture Cards is one of many projects promoting music-related NFTs. However, it aims to take it to the next level by providing a fantasy game as well. This way, collectors will have more to do with their precious non-fungible tokens than just storing them in a wallet. The Culture Cards’ mission is to celebrate and reward the pillars of the Culture. Among them are not only the artists, but all the architects and people that impacted and helped shape that Movement.
