Toruslabs Co-Founder Contracts Coronavirus after Appearing on Ethereum Conferences

The co-founder of Toruslabs, Zhen Yu Yong, tested positive for coronavirus after attending different Ethereum conferences. Zhen tweeted on falling ill and receiving a positive test for Covid-19.

He contracted Covid-19 after attending the ETH London hackathon held from the 28th of February to the 1st of March. TorusLabs Co-founder also attended the Ethereum Community Conference (ECC), which took place in Paris from the 3rd to the 5th of March. He encouraged all those who had close contact with him and those who attended the events to get tested.

Coronavirus Effects on Cryptocurrency Industry

In the past few weeks, the coronavirus outbreak negatively affected several major crypto conferences. The Bitcoin 2020 Conference, to happen on the 27th and 28th of March in the US, got postponed to the Q3 of 2020. The DC Blockchain Summit conference also did not occur due to the outbreak.

Additionally, the Paris Blockchain Week 2020 got postponed to the 9th of December, after France instituted a ban on large indoor gatherings from the end of February. Nevertheless, the Ethereum Community conference occurred since it had less than 5000 attendees.
