Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has joined the board of cryptocurrency exchange OKX, formalizing an advisory relationship that began in 2023 as the company expands its regulated business in the United States. OKX founder and CEO Star Xu announced the board appointment on Monday. Xu credited Cuomo with providing regulatory and policy guidance during the exchange’s growth and described the appointment as part of OKX’s effort to strengthen trust around its global platform. Gate Europe Adds New User Rewards As Binance EU Deadline Nears
Gate Europe has launched a MiCA-regulated newcomer campaign as European crypto exchanges compete for users before Binance restricts some EU services from July 1.
The campaign targets eligible new Gate Europe users with rewards for registration, first deposit and first spot trade. The exchange lists a 10 USDC trading fee rebate voucher for the first 2,000 eligible users who complete account registration during the event period.
Gate Europe is also offering 15 USDC in token rewards for users who complete a net deposit of at least 100 USDC equivalent in any supported asset. Onchain deposits, fiat deposits and OTC purchases are included, while internal transfers are excluded. A separate first-trade task gives eligible users another 10 USDC reward after completing at least 100 USDC equivalent in spot trading volume.
Gate Technology Ltd is authorized as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider by the Malta Financial Services Authority under MiCA. That gives Gate Europe a regulated EU route at the same time Binance users are reassessing access, account migration and service continuity before the transition period ends.
Licensed Exchanges Chase Binance Users
The campaign places Gate Europe alongside Coinbase and OKX in the fight for European crypto users affected by Binance’s licensing gap. Coinbase and OKX already moved with MiCA deadline bonuses as Binance prepared to restrict certain EU services without a license in place.
OKX has also reported stronger European user activity. OKX Europe CEO Erald Ghoos said the exchange was seeing record numbers of new clients before the cutoff, turning the July 1 deadline into a direct customer-acquisition window for authorized firms. That user shift was already visible as OKX Europe signups accelerated ahead of the deadline.
The timing is central. MiCA’s transition period ends on July 1, 2026, requiring crypto-asset service providers to operate through authorized EU entities if they want to keep serving users across the bloc. Platforms without the right authorization face service restrictions, offboarding plans or country-by-country access limits.
Binance has told users in several European markets that it cannot accept new registrations and will restrict services because it will not have a MiCA license by the deadline. The exchange has said user assets remain safe and accessible, but the licensing gap has still created a short window for regulated rivals to win deposits, accounts and trading activity.
Binance Gap Turns Regulation Into User Acquisition
Binance withdrew its Greek MiCA application and plans to seek authorization through another EU member state. The Greek MiCA bid had been one of the exchange’s most important routes to uninterrupted EU access before the deadline.
Gate Europe’s rewards campaign shows how licensed exchanges are turning regulatory clarity into a marketing tool. The offer is not only about deposit rewards. It also pushes new users through the full onboarding path: registration, account verification, funding and first spot trade.
That structure matters because user migration is not complete when a customer opens an account. European traders still need to pass verification, move assets, test fiat or onchain funding, and confirm that the legal entity holding their account is authorized under MiCA.

price change
Gate Europe’s campaign is open to eligible users only and rewards are limited to the first 2,000 eligible participants for each listed task. Binance’s EU restrictions begin from July 1, while Gate Europe, Coinbase and OKX are already using MiCA authorization and onboarding rewards to compete for users before the cutoff.

The shares were acquired at an average price of $15.6156, implying a total outlay of roughly $85.9 million. The purchases were completed under BitMine’s previously authorized $4 billion share-repurchase program. Chairman Tom Lee called the repurchases accretive to shareholder value. BMNR traded near $15.97 on Monday, slightly above the average price paid by the…

Allbridge Core Pauses After $1.65 Million Solana Flash Loan Exploit
Allbridge Core paused its cross-chain stablecoin protocol after an attacker manipulated its Solana liquidity pools, with PeckShield estimating losses at about $1.65 million. The attack began with a $1.12 million USDC flash loan from Kamino Finance. The borrowed capital funded rapid swaps between USDC and USDT, pushing Allbridge Core’s internal pool ratios away from the stablecoins’ market values. The attacker then withdrew liquidity at the distorted exchange rate and repaid the Kamino loan within the same transaction. Onchain Lens traced…

U.S. Regulators Miss GENIUS Act Deadline With Stablecoin Rules Still In Draft
U.S. regulators missed the GENIUS Act’s July 18 rulemaking deadline with the federal stablecoin framework still divided across proposed regulations, unfinished reporting requirements and open public-comment periods. President Donald Trump signed the law on July 18, 2025. Section 13 of the GENIUS Act gave the primary federal payment stablecoin regulators, the Treasury Department and state payment stablecoin regulators one year to promulgate implementing regulations through notice-and-comment rulemaking. No coordinated final federal framework was in place when the deadline expired. The…

Its market capitalization has dropped by roughly $180 million during the decline, while the token has underperformed both Solana and the wider crypto market. The selloff followed a governance attack that transferred 4.426 trillion BONK from the BonkDAO treasury. The…

Bitcoin Quantum Freeze Plan Gets Recovery Tool, But Satoshi Coins Remain Outside
Project Eleven has developed a zero-knowledge proof that could let Bitcoin holders recover funds restricted under a future quantum-security upgrade without exposing the wallet secrets used to establish ownership. The post-quantum recovery prototype uses the key-derivation structure of BIP-32 wallets. A holder proves knowledge of private key material above an address in the wallet’s derivation tree, proves that the material generated the affected address and binds the proof to a migration transaction. The parent key and other private data remain...

Bitcoin Weekly RSI Divergence Returns as Analysts Watch $65K Breakout
Bitcoin has formed a bullish divergence on the weekly relative strength index, reviving a technical signal last seen near the market’s November 2022 bottom. BTC traded near $64,700 on Sunday after moving between approximately $63,900 and $64,900 over the previous 24 hours. The rebound has lifted Bitcoin back toward the $65,000 level that repeatedly rejected buyers during July. A bullish divergence appears when price records a lower low while RSI forms a higher low, signaling that selling momentum is weakening...

JPMorgan Calls Strategy’s $3B Cash Reserve Bullish for Bitcoin
JPMorgan has turned more constructive on Bitcoin after Strategy expanded its U.S. dollar reserve to $3 billion, giving the treasury company enough liquidity to cover roughly 20 months of preferred-stock dividends and interest payments. The larger reserve is an “encouraging sign” for Bitcoin, analysts led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou wrote, because it reduces the likelihood that Strategy will need to sell more of its Bitcoin treasury to meet recurring cash obligations. Strategy increased its reserve by $450 million during the week...

Ethereum Tests $1,820 Resistance As ETH/BTC Ratio Breaks Higher
Ethereum returned above $1,800 after rebounding from the $1,750 area, putting the market’s next resistance band between $1,820 and $1,850 back in play. ETH traded near $1,809, up about 0.7% over 24 hours, after moving between $1,780 and $1,828. The intraday push briefly cleared $1,820, but the market still needs to hold the level through a stronger daily close before the breakout extends toward $1,850 and $1,900. The move follows an earlier test of the same resistance cluster. Ethereum previously...

What Is Agentic Trading? AI Trading Agents, Crypto Automation And Risk Controls
Agentic trading is a form of market automation where an AI agent can analyze data, reason through a goal, use tools, prepare trades, and sometimes execute orders through an exchange API, wallet, smart account, broker connection, or onchain protocol. It moves the conversation beyond simple trading bots because the agent is not only following a fixed trigger. It can combine market data, user instructions, portfolio context, and approved tools before deciding what action fits the rules it has been given....

What Are Crypto Data Aggregators? Price, Volume, Token Data, And Market Tracking Explained
Crypto data aggregators turn scattered market information into one usable research layer. Instead of checking separate exchanges, DEX pools, block explorers, wallet dashboards, token pages, protocol analytics, and portfolio apps, users can compare price, market capitalization, trading volume, liquidity, supply, exchange pairs, contract addresses, DeFi activity, and on-chain movement from one place. Crypto markets are fragmented across venues, chains, and token versions, so the same asset can trade on centralized exchanges, several decentralized exchanges, multiple networks, and wrapped or bridged...

What started as chat groups and announcement channels has expanded into wallet bots, sniper bots, DEX trading assistants, copy tools, alert systems, portfolio trackers, and chat-based swap interfaces. The appeal is speed: a user can see a token, paste a contract address, set trade parameters, and execute without leaving Telegram. That convenience creates a new risk...

What Is FPSL In Crypto? Fully Paid Securities Lending Explained
Fully Paid Securities Lending, usually shortened to FPSL, is a traditional stock-lending structure that is now appearing inside crypto-native investing platforms. It does not mean staking Bitcoin, lending Ethereum, or supplying stablecoins to a DeFi pool. It means lending fully paid securities, such as stocks or ETFs, that a user already owns through a broker-linked account. The crypto context comes from the user experience. Exchanges and apps that started with digital assets are adding access to U.S. stocks, ETFs, stablecoin-funded...

Hyperliquid Sets Permissionless HIP-4 Rollout With 500,000 HYPE Stake
Hyperliquid will open HIP-4 outcome markets to permissionless deployment through a future network upgrade, launching the system on testnet before extending it to mainnet. The permissionless deployment plan follows a validator-run phase used to test market creation, trading and settlement before independent builders receive access. Hyperliquid took a similar staged approach with permissionless spot and perpetual markets. HIP-4 brings fully collateralized outcome contracts into HyperCore, allowing traders to take positions on defined events rather than only spot assets or perpetual...
