Paxos has added XRP to its Crypto Brokerage platform, giving financial institutions using its infrastructure access to trading, custody, deposits and withdrawals for the asset. The October 7 integration makes XRP available through the same brokerage stack Paxos uses to provide crypto services to banks, brokers and fintech platforms. XRP Ledger transactions are now fully supported across the Paxos platform, including native deposits and withdrawals. Partners can integrate XRP without building separate custody and execution infrastructure. Paxos handles underlying services…
Phantom to End Sui Support on September 24 as Users Get One Month to Move Assets
Iulian Lesanu
@Iulian
Phantom will stop supporting the Sui network on September 24, 2026, ending an integration that brought SUI and Sui-based assets into the multichain wallet for roughly 20 months.
Phantom and the Sui team agreed to discontinue the integration while leaving open the possibility of working together again. Users have one month to swap their Sui assets into networks Phantom will continue supporting or move access to a Sui-compatible wallet.
The September 24 cutoff removes Sui balances and transaction functionality from Phantom’s interface. It does not move, freeze or destroy the underlying assets because Phantom remains a self-custodial wallet and users retain control of their keys.
Users Can Swap Sui Assets or Move to Another Wallet
Sui holders who want to remain inside Phantom can swap their assets into supported tokens before the deadline, with Phantom waiving fees on the transition swaps. SOL, ETH and USDC are among the assets users can move into while continuing to use the wallet.
Users who want to keep their assets on Sui can instead export their recovery credentials and restore the same account in a compatible wallet. Slush, developed by Mysten Labs, replaced the former Sui Wallet and supports browser, mobile and web access. Suiet remains another native Sui option.
After September 24, SUI and other Sui assets held by the address remain on the blockchain even though Phantom will no longer display balances, send transactions or provide Sui swaps. Users should only enter a recovery phrase into verified wallet software and avoid migration links sent through direct messages or social media.
A similar access problem affected Cosmos users earlier this year when Leap Wallet shut down, forcing users to restore accounts elsewhere rather than moving assets at the blockchain level.
Phantom Added Sui During Its Multichain Expansion
Phantom launched Sui support on January 29, 2025, initially in beta before opening the integration to all users in May. Sui became the first Move-based network supported by Phantom and joined Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin and Base inside the wallet.
The integration covered SUI transfers, Sui ecosystem tokens, decentralized applications and cross-chain swaps. Sui was still included in Phantom’s experimental AI wallet tools in February 2026, when its MCP server supported wallet addresses and signing across Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin and Sui.
Sui Network Activity Continues Beyond Phantom
Sui has continued adding network features independently of Phantom, including gasless stablecoin transfers for seven assets launched in May. The network is also preparing post-quantum signature support and has expanded Slush as its primary wallet interface.
SUI traded around $0.83 on August 24 after gaining sharply during the previous week, with no comparable network halt accompanying the Phantom announcement.

EU Regulators Probe Binance’s Use of MiCA Reverse Solicitation Exemption
European regulators are examining whether Binance has relied too broadly on MiCA’s reverse solicitation exemption to continue serving some EU customers without a bloc-wide crypto license. ESMA and national authorities in France, Germany and Greece are reviewing Binance’s use of the exemption, with some regulators requesting information from the exchange, people familiar with the inquiries told the Financial Times. Enforcement action, including fines, could follow if authorities conclude the conditions were not met. Binance enters the review without a MiCA…

Illinois Draft Rules Detail 0.2% Crypto Transaction Tax Ahead of 2027 Start
Illinois has published draft rules for its 0.2% digital-asset transaction tax, detailing how exchanges, transfers, bridging and custody services will be taxed when the law takes effect on January 1, 2027. The charge is calculated from the value of the digital asset involved rather than the customer's investment gain. A covered $10,000 transaction would therefore generate a $20 tax whether the position was profitable, sold at a loss or produced no gain at all. The underlying 0.2% transaction tax was…

CFTC Registers Coinbase Clearing as USDC-Native Derivatives Clearinghouse
Coinbase has secured U.S. regulatory approval to operate its own derivatives clearinghouse, adding an in-house settlement layer to a derivatives business that already includes a regulated futures exchange and futures commission merchant. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission registered Coinbase Clearing LLC as a derivatives clearing organization on September 28, permitting it to clear fully collateralized futures, options on futures and swaps. The approval gives Coinbase direct control over clearing for eligible products rather than requiring every contract to pass through…

The fraudulent environment included an OP Stack-like bridge and batcher and began operating after its deployment on September 27. GIWA Mainnet remains under development. The only publicly available GIWA network is…

Brazil Orders Coaf Reports for $10K Self-Custody Crypto Transfers
Brazil will require regulated financial institutions to report crypto transfers worth at least the equivalent of $10,000 when funds move to or from self-custody wallets, extending automatic anti-money-laundering reporting to transactions crossing between supervised platforms and user-controlled addresses. Resolution BCB No. 588, issued September 23, adds transfers of virtual assets to or from self-custodied wallets worth $10,000 or more to the operations that must be specifically communicated to the Conselho de Controle de Atividades Financeiras, or Coaf. The rule takes…

Strategy Seeks Daily Dividends for STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD
Strategy is seeking shareholder approval to move STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD to daily dividends, expanding a Digital Credit platform the company uses alongside its 846,000 BTC treasury. Under the proposal, every calendar day would become a dividend record date, including weekends and holidays, with the associated payment made on the next business day. The change would increase payment frequency without altering the annual dividend rates or Strategy's overall dividend obligations. The four securities currently pay on different schedules. STRF,...

The company now has no Bitcoin on its balance sheet and no outstanding debt other than obligations connected to government-financed research and development projects. Sequans...

Shielded Bitcoin Proposal Brings Private Transfers to Bitcoin Without a Soft Fork
Researchers have proposed a new privacy system that would allow Bitcoin-denominated value to move through encrypted transfers anchored directly to Bitcoin without requiring a soft fork or separate blockchain. The September 24 Shielded Bitcoin paper, authored by Clara Shikhelman, Mikhail Komarov and Aleksei Moskvin of [[alloc] init], describes a metaprotocol where amounts, senders, recipients and links to previously spent notes remain hidden while transaction validity can still be independently verified. Bitcoin itself would publish and order the protocol data. Its...

Ledger Patches Ethereum Signing Flaw Before Researchers Disclose It
Ledger has patched a vulnerability in its Ethereum hardware-wallet app that could allow a malicious dApp to replace a transaction during the approval process while the device continued showing users the transaction they originally reviewed. Security firm TestMachine disclosed the signature-substitution flaw on August 21 after reproducing it on Ledger hardware. Ledger had already shipped Ethereum app version 1.22.2 on August 12, with its release history listing security fixes for the update. Malicious dApp Could Change the Transaction Before Signing...

Jesse Pollak Pushes Back On Coinbase ETH Selling Criticism, Points To 150K ETH Treasury
Base creator Jesse Pollak has pushed back against criticism that Coinbase is selling ETH while benefiting from Ethereum, pointing to the exchange’s roughly 150,000 ETH corporate position and years of investment across the network. Pollak argued that Coinbase has held about 150,000 ETH through multiple market cycles, while describing the company as the largest ETH holder outside dedicated digital asset treasury companies by a wide margin. Coinbase’s latest regulatory filing backs up the scale of that position. The company held...

Tornado Cash Phishing Frontend Drains 1,010 ETH From User
A crypto user lost 1,010 ETH after following an old Tornado Cash bookmark into a phishing frontend that captured the private withdrawal credentials needed to access the deposited funds. The victim deposited the ETH into legitimate Tornado Cash contracts, but the malicious interface obtained the private note generated during the process. The attacker then used those credentials to withdraw the assets within roughly 12 hours without compromising the underlying Tornado Cash smart contracts. Phishing Frontend Targeted Private Withdrawal Notes Tornado...

5 Best Crypto APIs for Trading Bots in 2026
A crypto trading bot is a chain of dependencies. It reads a position, prices it, decides, places an order, and confirms settlement. Every one of those steps is an API call, and a failure at any single step stops the strategy. The provider choice shapes what a bot can actually do more than the strategy logic does. The common mistake is searching for one API that covers everything. No such API exists in 2026. Market data providers do not route...

Best Prediction Markets Alternatives: Outpoll, Limitless, Myriad, Manifold

The strongest alternatives are not identical copies. Some emerging prediction markets platforms focus on professional order controls, some concentrate on fast crypto and financial markets, and others use onchain infrastructure or play-money forecasting. How to Get a Funded Crypto Trading Account in 2026 Step by Step
A funded crypto trading account gives a trader access to more notional capital after they prove they can follow a firm’s risk rules. The usual route starts with a paid crypto prop firm challenge that requires a profit target without breaching daily or overall loss limits. Passing is not only about making money. Drawdown control, minimum trading days and rule compliance determine whether the account survives. The evaluation fee can be lost, and crypto prop firms use different account models,...

Tokenized stock perps allow traders to take long or short exposure to companies, ETFs and equity indexes through crypto-native derivatives markets. Positions can use stablecoin collateral, remain open without an expiry date and continue trading when the main stock exchange is closed. The trader receives price exposure, not ownership of the referenced shares. The interface often looks identical to a crypto perpetual futures market. The risk does not. A stock-linked contract can remain active overnight, through weekends and during holidays...
