X Users Hate Crypto: Snooze Data Reveals Top Muted Topics

Crypto ranks as the most muted topic on X since the platform launched its new snooze feature. The data, shared by head of product Nikita Bier, signals growing user fatigue with the asset class.

Users snoozed crypto posts more than politics, the Iran conflict, sports, and business content combined. The pattern marks the strongest feed-level pushback against any single category since launch.

Crypto Outranks Politics and Sports on X’s Mute List

The snooze tool lets Premium subscribers temporarily hide selected topics from their For You feed. The feature also helps users tune their personalized recommendations. Bier said crypto sits at the top of the leaderboard, well ahead of politics, the Iran conflict, and sports posts.

Premium accounts pay a monthly fee for features such as longer posts and larger edit windows. The new category-level controls give X a clearer read on what subscribers want to see less of.

Gaming, artificial intelligence, and entertainment all fall further down the list. The pattern suggests that crypto fatigue has become a structural feature of feed behavior on X. The signal extends beyond a passing reaction to specific news cycles or token launches.

The data falls during a period of heightened skepticism toward crypto-influencer culture. High-profile token scams tied to public figures have already drained millions from retail traders who trusted social media tips.

Mixed Signals as X Pushes Into New Financial Features

X has steadily expanded its crypto exposure even as Premium users tune out the topic. The company recently hired designer Benji Taylor away from a crypto-native firm.

X is also preparing XChat as a payments-ready messaging product to compete with WhatsApp and iMessage.

Elon Musk himself remains entangled in a high-profile OpenAI lawsuit that continues to dominate his public agenda. The widening gap between platform strategy and audience appetite continues to grow. X will need to rethink how crypto surfaces in Premium feeds without alienating its most engaged users.

JPMorgan Calls Strategy’s $3B Cash Reserve Bullish for Bitcoin

JPMorgan has turned more constructive on Bitcoin after Strategy expanded its U.S. dollar reserve to $3 billion, giving the treasury company enough liquidity to cover roughly 20 months of preferred-stock dividends and interest payments. The larger reserve is an “encouraging sign” for Bitcoin, analysts led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou wrote, because it reduces the likelihood that Strategy will need to sell more of its Bitcoin treasury to meet recurring cash obligations. Strategy increased its reserve by $450 million during the week...

Bitcoin Reclaims $65K as Ether Breaks $1,900 for First Time Since June

Bitcoin climbed above $65,000 on Wednesday, breaking through a level that had rejected several recovery attempts since the market’s June selloff. BTC reached an intraday high near $65,500 before settling around $65,000, up roughly 5% over seven days. The breakout carried Bitcoin above the upper boundary of the short-term range that repeatedly capped price between $64,000 and $65,000 earlier in July. The rebound follows a volatile six-week stretch that briefly sent Bitcoin below $60,000 in late June. BTC had already...

Bitcoin And Ether ETFs Draw $239M As July 14 Inflows Return

U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds returned to net inflows on July 14, bringing in a combined $239.42 million after both product groups opened the week with redemptions. Bitcoin funds recorded $181.08 million in net inflows, while spot Ether ETFs added $58.34 million. All 12 U.S.-listed Bitcoin products finished the session without a net outflow, spreading the positive result across the fund group rather than leaving the total dependent on one issuer. The reversal followed a sharp July 13...

Bitcoin Loses $63,000 As Channel Rejection Puts $61,700 Support In Focus

Bitcoin fell below $63,000 after another rejection from the upper boundary of its short-term trading channel, shifting the immediate focus toward support near $61,700. BTC traded near $62,880, down about 1.4% over 24 hours, after moving between $62,580 and $64,273. The pullback erased an early-session attempt to hold above $64,000 and returned price below the midpoint of the latest range. The rejection extends a pattern that has repeatedly capped Bitcoin between $64,000 and $65,000. Buyers briefly pushed BTC through $63,000...

BitMine Buys 27,801 ETH As Holdings Reach 5.77M

BitMine Immersion Technologies acquired 27,801 ETH over the past week, lifting its total holdings to 5,770,038 ETH as of July 12. The position represents about 4.8% of Ethereum’s 120.7 million circulating supply, placing the company 96% of the way toward its stated goal of controlling 5% of all ETH. The latest treasury update valued the ETH position at roughly $10.5 billion using a reference price of $1,820. BitMine also held 206 BTC, $482 million in cash and marketable securities, a...

Ethereum Tests $1,820 Resistance As ETH/BTC Ratio Breaks Higher

Ethereum returned above $1,800 after rebounding from the $1,750 area, putting the market’s next resistance band between $1,820 and $1,850 back in play. ETH traded near $1,809, up about 0.7% over 24 hours, after moving between $1,780 and $1,828. The intraday push briefly cleared $1,820, but the market still needs to hold the level through a stronger daily close before the breakout extends toward $1,850 and $1,900. The move follows an earlier test of the same resistance cluster. Ethereum previously...

Tom Lee’s BitMine Adds 40,000 ETH From Kraken And FalconX

Tom Lee’s BitMine added another 40,000 ETH from Kraken and FalconX, extending one of the fastest Ethereum treasury accumulation strategies among public-market crypto companies. The purchase was valued at about $71.6 million, putting the implied ETH price near $1,790. The flow came through two large institutional venue transfers rather than a series of smaller spot-market buys, matching the pattern seen in BitMine’s recent ETH accumulation. The move has not yet appeared in a BitMine filing or official treasury update. Until...

Ethereum Eyes $1,800 Breakout As MVRV And TD Levels Align

Ethereum’s next bullish trigger sits around $1,800, where several onchain and technical levels have converged into the market’s nearest major resistance zone. Ali Martinez placed the key level at the $1,796 0.8 MVRV Pricing Band, with a daily close above that area and a successful support retest strengthening the case for a move toward Ethereum’s realized price near $2,245. The same chart set the TD Sequential resistance trendline near $1,796, placing the technical and onchain bands at almost the same...

What Is Agentic Trading? AI Trading Agents, Crypto Automation And Risk Controls

Agentic trading is a form of market automation where an AI agent can analyze data, reason through a goal, use tools, prepare trades, and sometimes execute orders through an exchange API, wallet, smart account, broker connection, or onchain protocol. It moves the conversation beyond simple trading bots because the agent is not only following a fixed trigger. It can combine market data, user instructions, portfolio context, and approved tools before deciding what action fits the rules it has been given....

What Are Crypto Data Aggregators? Price, Volume, Token Data, And Market Tracking Explained

Crypto data aggregators turn scattered market information into one usable research layer. Instead of checking separate exchanges, DEX pools, block explorers, wallet dashboards, token pages, protocol analytics, and portfolio apps, users can compare price, market capitalization, trading volume, liquidity, supply, exchange pairs, contract addresses, DeFi activity, and on-chain movement from one place. Crypto markets are fragmented across venues, chains, and token versions, so the same asset can trade on centralized exchanges, several decentralized exchanges, multiple networks, and wrapped or bridged...

Telegram Crypto Trading Explained: Wallet Bots, Sniper Bots, Chat-Based Swaps, And Key Risks

Telegram has become one of the most active places where crypto users discover tokens, join communities, follow launch alerts, and execute trades through bots. What started as chat groups and announcement channels has expanded into wallet bots, sniper bots, DEX trading assistants, copy tools, alert systems, portfolio trackers, and chat-based swap interfaces. The appeal is speed: a user can see a token, paste a contract address, set trade parameters, and execute without leaving Telegram. That convenience creates a new risk...

What Is FPSL In Crypto? Fully Paid Securities Lending Explained

Fully Paid Securities Lending, usually shortened to FPSL, is a traditional stock-lending structure that is now appearing inside crypto-native investing platforms. It does not mean staking Bitcoin, lending Ethereum, or supplying stablecoins to a DeFi pool. It means lending fully paid securities, such as stocks or ETFs, that a user already owns through a broker-linked account. The crypto context comes from the user experience. Exchanges and apps that started with digital assets are adding access to U.S. stocks, ETFs, stablecoin-funded...

Apple Briefly Overtakes Nvidia as World’s Most Valuable Company

Apple briefly overtook Nvidia on Friday to become the world’s most valuable publicly traded company for the first time since April 2025, as the chipmaker’s shares extended their retreat from recent highs. Apple’s market value reached about $4.88 trillion during the crossover, narrowly exceeding Nvidia at roughly $4.86 trillion. AAPL traded as high as $336.67, while Nvidia fell more than 3% during the earlier part of the session. The lead changed again as prices moved through the trading day. The...

EU Orders Google to Open Android and Share Search Data With AI Rivals

The European Commission has ordered Google to open key Android functions to competing artificial intelligence assistants, removing technical advantages currently reserved for Gemini. The binding Digital Markets Act measures cover 11 Android features used by AI services. Third-party assistants will be able to launch through voice commands, access approved on-device context, perform actions across applications, automate background tasks and use system resources under conditions comparable to Google’s own services. Users could select another assistant to draft and send emails, schedule...

Citadel Securities Invests $400M in Crypto.com at $20B Valuation

Citadel Securities has invested $400 million in Crypto.com, valuing the privately held cryptocurrency exchange at $20 billion as Wall Street firms deepen their exposure to digital-asset infrastructure. The investment will support Crypto.com’s expansion into tokenized securities and derivatives, extending the exchange beyond spot cryptocurrency trading and its consumer app. The companies did not disclose the size of Citadel Securities’ ownership stake or any governance rights attached to the transaction. Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek said the opportunity was expanding...

1inch Co-Founder Anton Bukov Exits Operations and Launches Second Tier

1inch co-founder Anton Bukov has publicly confirmed his departure from the protocol’s operations and launched a new DeFi infrastructure company called Second Tier. Bukov said he was removed in late November 2025 after disagreements over strategic direction, communication and leadership. He retains his co-founder title and a 50% shareholding but no longer participates in company operations, product architecture, security design or protocol oversight. The split followed months of internal discussions after Bukov sought a larger role in management. He described...
